This ap-calculus EDG will be closing in the next few weeks. Please sign up for the new AP Calculus
Teacher Community Forum at
and post messages there.
Here again are the directions I forwarded yesterday about joining the
Community. Step 2 was inadvertently omitted.

Here is how you can get e-mails from the Teacher Community:

1. If you have not already done so join the community at . Click on Get Started now. All
teachers with an audit are already members; use your audit site name and
password to get to the Teacher Community.

2. One step I overlooked: After you join or if you are a member you
must still join the Calculus Teacher Community You do this right under the
picture from the page linked above.

3. Once you enroll in the Community, you can have all new messages
sent to you very much like the listserve that is being discontinued. (The
items with the ** are the minimum you have to do)

4. - **Click on My Preferences at the top on the right next to your
- In the General Email settings, indicate the email address to which you
want items sent (make sure you click on Primary)
- In Member Messaging, you can decide whether you'd like to allow private
messaging or not (that's for one-on-one messaging without posting to the
Discussion Boards)
- click on Save.

5. - **On the left, click on Calculus
- Under Digest Settings, you can decide if you want messages coming in a
digest or not and if so, how often you want the digest to be delivered
(daily or weekly).

6. - **Under Notification Settings, if you want to receive all
messages like you did on the listserve, make sure the first item, "All
Discussion Board Posts and Replies" is set to "Send me individual emails";
you may also want information on New Community Resources or some of the
other options, so choose the settings that fit your needs. Then hit Save.

7. This will have all of the posts to the Teacher Community sent to
your email (either in digest or individual form). To reply you (currently)
need to log into the community, but we are actively working on enabling
replies without having to log in this in the coming months.

I hope this clears thing up. I will repeat this message from time to time
until the EDG closes in a month or so.
