Halting Matlab Job and Restarting?

I don't know if this question comes up, but I was unable to find
it in the FAQ section...

Is there a way to halt a Matlab job (to check its progress,
look at some current matrix values, etc) and restart it where
it left off? This would be analogous to a control-z in Unix.

Thanks.

Jim
