SUNY Oswego will again be offering a three credit mathematics education course entitled "literacy for the mathematics classroom, grades five through nine" LIT 535 offered during the three-week January session term. The course will begin January 2 and and approximately January 18. Teachers in the past have successfully completed the course in three weeks by beginning some of the reading and December and there is a preview week of all the course materials the week before New Year's (holiday week).

Materials and techniques learned in the course will follow the new common core standards.
