Hi,

Complete matlab novice here, so apologies if I make any remarkably stupid comments.

I basically have the task of identifying galaxies on a fits file and need to 'black out' a galaxy on the fits image once I've catalogued it.

To do this I need to create a circle that covers the whole circle and fill it black or set all of the pixels to zero. I've tried creating a meshgrid and using the equation of a circle, but can't seem to 'apply it', if that makes sense, to my image.

Can anyone help?

Happy to elaborate if needed
