Doc on writing MEX files?

I will have to create a few special functionalities for a
SIMULINK Model as MEX file. But I have problems getting hold of
some documentation about writing MEX files. I already had a look
at some files in the FTP Archive of Mathworks, and you can learn
some things from other sources. But I would really like to know
if there is some documentation on this subject available via www.
Maybe somebody can at least tell me for what manual I have to look
for.

Any help greatly appreciated,

P.S. I am not using an illegal copy, the only problem is that we
have site licenses here, but its difficult to get hold of
documentation.
