Algebra Question

Hi,
I read in a probability textbook that this equation:
[y*theta^(y1)](ny)*(theta^y)(1theta)^(ny1)
can be simplified to:
[y*theta^(y1)]*[(1theta)^(ny1)]*(yn*theta)
Could someone please show me the steps necessary to go from the first equation to the second equation?
Any tips would be much appreciated.
R
