Small ps file, but Long pring time

Hi all,

I experienced a strange behavior of one postscript figure generated by matlab
surfl function. Suppose A is a 50 x 50 array, I generated a .ps file by the
following method:

surfl(A);
shading interp;
colormap(pink);
print -deps2 figure.ps

The size of figure.ps is fine (about 100~200 KB). However, it takes about 30
min to print it out with HP 4MP (postscript printer). It doesn't seem to be a
printer RAM problem cause I have tried the other printer with 256MB RAM inside
and the printing time is approximately the same.

Does anyone have any good idea about what's going on? How to solve this
problem? Thanks in advance!
