Combining Bar Graphs into Bar Series

Hello,

I have some Matlab code which outputs three bar graphs as separate figures (which I have labelled ah1, ah2, and ah3). Now, I want to add some code which takes the data from those three figures and combines them into a single bar series.

I originally tried the following:

% combine content of each figure into a third figure
figure('name','COMBINED');
axes;
set(gca,'xlim',[1,10],'ylim',[1,10]);
copyobj(get(ah1,'children'),gca);
copyobj(get(ah2,'children'),gca);
copyobj(get(ah3,'children'),gca);

That combined the three figures into a single bar graph. However, the bars were written over the top of each other (no good). I want them to be displayed in a bar series. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!
