I am frustrated by the R2012b ToolStrip. I use a lot of shortcut scripts. In the previous version, they were always available. With the Editor open, I could use a shortcut to insert material into the code. After running the code, I would use shortcuts to reconfigure, close or hide figures. Now I have to first go to the shortcut section of the ToolStrip, select the shortcut and then return.

Is there any way to either keep more than one part of the Toolstrip open or to put icons from one part in another part of the strip?

I see that the 2013a Beta is out. Perhaps there are some changes there in this regard.
