Hi, I want to solve a transcendental equation and obtain the roots of x from the equation
tan(x/2)=(x/2)-((4/lambda^2)*(x/2)^3)

where lambda^2 is known and is 0.72

can any one tell me how to obtain the value of x.

Thanks,
Murthy
