Time and time again, I seem to be floundering when I try to make headway with rest-mass and energy. I seem to flounder when it comes to deriving 500,000 eV for electron and 938,000,000 eV for proton. I do not flounder when I bring in the Atom Totality theory on that item, but when I try to derive it purely from Maxwell Equations, I flounder. This must have been about the 3rd attempt at doing this, and again no clear path through. However, there was magnificent progress on other fronts. There was the derivation of both the Dirac and Schrodinger Equations out of the Maxwell Equations. And there was magnificent progress in understanding the phenomenon of superconductivity as a form of Malus law replacing resistance in the Ohm's law.
And we can further see how this rings true in that E = mc^2
and
I' = I" cos^2A (Malus law)
notice both equations are of the form p =qk^2 which is a area in Elliptic geometry. An area in Euclidean geometry is p = length * width.
So the I" term in Malus law is initial intensity of light.
So if we alter the equation E = mc^2 we get this:
m' = m"c^2
In other words, the initial mass m", some of which was altered into becoming a new mass of m'. Just as in Malus law, the initial beam of light energy I" is altered and out comes the final beam of light energy of I'.
Likewise, instead of shooting a beam of laser light into a steel wool and seeing most of the energy altered and few if any of the laser light coming out, we send positrons into a filter of electrons and the positrons all annihilate with no positrons coming out.
So here we see how Malus law is the equivalent of E = mc^2.
So here we see what rest-mass and energy really are, because each converts to the other, but questions remain. Because, where does that energy or rest-mass end up with at the end of the interaction? Does it end up with magnetic monopoles rearranged? Does it end up with magnetic monopoles becoming part of Space?
-- ?Google's archiving of posts is biased towards attacks on people, with ?delays in time and search engine bombing stacking. If ?anyone searches for Archimedes Plutonium in the Google science newsgroups is likely?to not come upon current AP posts but rather?instead come upon hate- spew stacking in front, rather than the current actual AP posts. ?Organizations such as Docendi of ?science,niuz,biz or from Spacebanter ?are given higher priority even though they are inflammatory posts lacking ?science content, and not representative of AP current posts, but rather posts designed to scare away a new reader from AP. In the past?months, a Google search for ?AP posts is nothing more than a gaggle of hate-spew from niuz.biz to Spacebanter. These inflammatory posts even ?hinder the proper Google archiving?of actual AP. ?Whoever is doing it (such as the hatemonger, Tim Skirvin in the past)?knows how to pick out inflammatory words in subject headers and then couple that with a ?AP post, so that a reader is repulsed. Whether they are employees of ?Google or simply know how to manipulate Google archiving is unknown, ?but when compared to Drexel's archiving we see how Google could operate far better. Google was a prime inventor of search-engines but Google seems to be derelict of its role in trying to minimize those creeps who keep biasing searches with their hate-spew. These creeps even have a name for their foul behaviour-- grepping. If Google can spend a little time and attention to eradicting grepping, then their overall business would also improve. A source of grepping is the use of fake names and another source is unlimited volume. So if Google were to enforce 1) legal names only and 2) volume quota, then we would have improved Internet.
Only Drexel's Math Forum has done a excellent and fair archiving of AP ?posts for the past 10 or more years as seen here:

Archimedes Plutonium http://www.iw.net/~a_plutonium whole entire Universe is just one big atom where dots of the electron-dot-cloud are galaxies
