Let me explain it another way...
If a student received 81 out of 87 credits and lost 6 points because they couldn't graph the 2 short answer questions, they got a 93 on the old rubric and 100 on the new rubric ( +7 points ).
If a student received 24 out of 30 credits and lost 6 points because they couldn't graph the 2 short answer questions (need 30 to pass), they got a 58 on the old rubric and a 59 on the new rubric ( + 1 lousy point ).

Huge dispairity between those students getting close to 100 and those students trying everything they can pass the exam. Not fair.
