Moreover, the strategies I outlined (using a decreasing function f: R > (0,1)) are the _only_ strategies that can guarantee (regardless of Alice's choice process) a more than 50% chance of guessing the highest value.
In other words, for _all_ other guessing strategies, there exists at least one choice process for Alice that ensures at most a 50% chance of guessing the highest value.
Also, for any fixed c > 1/2, there is no guessing strategy which can guarantee a probability of at least c for guessing the highest value.
