Surround Sound in Matlab

Hello!

I'm relatively new with using sound in Matlab. I currently understand how to load and play sounds, as well as adjust the frequency, but I'm looking for a way to play sounds in a surround sound type of way. (Aka have a sound play from 45 degrees left to the center of the head, and then another play at 13 degrees right from the center of the head) Basically programming the wav files to play from angles right and left respective to a circle around a persons head.

Is there a simple way I should go about doing this? Currently my stereo files are in an N by 2 matrix, but I'm unsure how to go about moving forward!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
