Can anybody reproduce this error? I mean, expr is symmetric with respect to
a, b, c, then the second component should be zero in both cases. Am I wrong?

expr = (a - b) (b - c) (c - a);
SymmetricReduction[expr, {a, b, c}]
SymmetricReduction[expr^2, {a, b, c}]

{3 a b c - (a + b + c) (a b + a c + b c), 2 a b^2 + 2 a^2 c + 2 b c^2}
The second component should be zero!

{-27 a^2 b^2 c^2 - 4 a b c (a + b + c)^3 + 18 a b c (a + b + c) (a b + a
c + b c) + (a + b + c)^2 (a b + a c +
b c)^2 - 4 (a b + a c + b c)^3, 0}
