Analysis of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Electromechanics

The Computational Cardiology Lab (CCL) in the Institute of Computational Medicine and Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to conduct research in image-based modeling and analysis of cardiac electrophysiology and electromechanics. The mission of CCL is to develop and exploit cutting-edge computational tools to advance the understanding of the fundamental mechanisms that underlie rhythm and contractile disorders in the heart and to develop better strategies for prevention and treatment of these disorders. We are looking for creative, self-motivated individuals with intellectual ability and interest to pursue challenging, interdisciplinary problems in a fast paced research environment.

Applicants should have the following minimum qualifications:

1. PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
2. Strong publication record.
3. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
4. Good programming skills, especially in C, C++, and Matlab.
5. Experience in image-based computational modeling and analysis of biological tissue.

Priority is given to applicants with expertise in cardiac image processing and computational modeling.
