Square root of 5 as the intersection of a horziontal line from y with the function y = x^2:
y = Mx + b y = 0 + 5
y = x^2 5 = x^2
It works but the result requires "taking a square root".
Next subject, the slope of a line tangent to y = x^2 is 2x at any point x.
