Minimum-phase filters with Matlab?

What I am doing is implementing methods to obtain minimum-phase filters
instead of using what polystab.m do. Some of my methods have as output
the zeros (FIR) and poles (IIR) of the desired minimum-phase filter,
hence what I need is to obtain the impulse response of the filter from
these zeros/poles, I can use poly.m, but it doesnt work well for high
orders. I tried to split the total zeros into sets such than the poly.m
function works well to obtain every impulse response of every set, then
the total impulse response is the convoution of every impulse response
set and I used the conv.m function and found the same problem as the use
of only poly.m. I'd appreciate if you someone has any idea how to solve
my problem.
