how to release the process launched by ie = actxserver('internetexplorer.application');

I used 'ie = actxserver('internetexplorer.application');' in my codes. But after running for several times, there were a lot of 'iexplore.exe' in the task manager which could not be killed. My PC became slower and slower.......
