Initializing listboxes

I have a setup where when a button is pushed, it will open up the file
which is highlighted in a listbox. I need to have this type of setup
because I have other listboxes that tell certain information about the
files that are listed. I am having trouble initializing the button
though. Once the window is opened, I want the button to be able to open
the file that is highlighted by default. I am able to open files if I
click on a file to highlight it then press the button, but if I just
press the button, it cannot open the file that is highlighted by default.
The callback code that I am using for my button right now is:

callrt = [
'for i = 1:length(Strings),',...
'if Value == i,',...
'edit(OpenString);',...
'end;',...
'end;'];
set(runtest,'CallBack',callrt);

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Tony Hansen
