Hi,

according to the documentation debugging of mex-files should
be easy. Simpy run Matlab within gdb. However I get the following
error:

arne@arne:/root > matlab -Dgdb
Segmentation fault
arne@arne:/root >

The version of gdb is 4.16 and there is a tech. note that says this is
the right version.
arne@arne:/root > gdb -v
GDB 4.16 (i486-unknown-linux --target i486-linux),
Copyright 1996 Free Software Foundation, Inc.

My Linux version is (S.u.S.E 5.0 distribution):
arne@arne:/root > cat /proc/version
Linux version 2.0.30 (root@arne) (gcc version 2.7.2.1) #25 Thu Oct 30
10:11:59 MET 1997

I can reproduce this error on different Linux machines so I think that
it is
not special to my computer.

Please tell me if I have missed any details on how to get gdb run.

-Arne
