By doing some research I found out that the command 'print' is an excellent choice to export figures and change their resolution. But there's a little problem: the figures are being exported with a black background and without the labels of the axis. I use to edit the figures and insert the labels of the axis on the figure window and I'd like to export the figures with the labels of the axis. Does anybody know how to use the command 'print' and to keep the labels of the axis when the figure is exported? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

print('-depsc','myplot1')
or if you want to view the plot in a package like ThumbsPlus:
print('-depsc','-tiff','myplot1')
