When I see a web page that has information
that I want to keep or read on my Ipad,
here's what I do.

1. I use the "Print what you like" bookmarklet
to select the stuff I want to save.
http://www.printwhatyoulike.com/bookmarklet

2. I "print" the page to a PDF file
using the free "Bullzip" PDF printer program.
http://www.bullzip.com/

3. I use the append feature of Bullzip
to consolidate similar data such as
history, politics, physics, astronomy, etc.
into single files.

4. I use my Ipad to read the PDF files
"on the run"

and I use the free Sumatra PDF reader to read
the files on my P.C.

Some nice features of the Sumatra PDF reader
is that it is small, fast, displays several files types
like PDF, DJVU, CHM, MOBI, EPUB, etc.

and when you list PDF files in "Explorer"
in the "Thumbnail" view,
it displays "Thumbnails" of the PDF files.
