The New York City Mathematics Project is offering a two-day Institute for educators in the implementation of the NYS Common Core Learning Standards, grades K-2 and 3-5. The Institute will focus on Mathematics Content and the Standards for Mathematical Practices, and examine ways in which students should engage with mathematics as they are learning mathematics content. Participants will explore the most recent resources supporting Common Core instruction, best practices and performance tasks that promote student learning. Educators will return to their schools with strategies, lessons and activities to implement coherent instruction, effectively use questioning and discussion techniques, and use assessment in instruction to assist them in implementing the Common Core Standards.

The Two day Institutes will be held on July 24 and 25 at
Lehman College,
250 Bedford Park Blvd. West, Bronx NY
8a.m.-1pm. (breakfast will be provided)
