We had a specific question about the interpretation of "teachers may not grade their own students" and got a clearcut answer.

If a student is taking Algebra and Geo at the same time, can their Algebra teacher grade their Geo paper? Seems like that should be ok. And when we called, we were told it is.

We thought it was safest to call, since the example in the "Directions for Administering" manual specifically addresses the case of Fred Smith PREVIOUS YEAR Alg teacher scoring this year's Geo test (that's ok), but does not address the question of THIS YEAR'S Alg teacher scoring this year's Geo test. It also addresses the case of Fred's current-year Geo AIS teacher scoring this year's Geo (not ok).
