e^x = 1 + x + (x^2)/2! + (x^3)/3! + .. + (x^n)/n!.
So e^5 = 1 + 5 + (5^2)/2 + (5^3)/6 + (5^4)/24 + (5^5)/120
= 1 + 5 + 12.5 + 20.83 + 26.041 + 26.041
= 91.412 and I'm damned if I can see where I am going wrong! Any hints greatly appreciated.
