PSD for wav file

Hi there. I'm trying to see the power spectral density of a wav file. I have been plotting spectrograms with success (specgram), but I'm having trouble creating a PSD plot with frequency on x axis so hoping someone can offer me some help. I'm pretty new to matlab, so I'm having some difficulty understanding the descriptions of how the functions work in the docs.

so to load the wav file:

wavin='s07051532 (10)H';
wavfs=44100; %sAMple frequency
n1=1;
secs=600; %it's a ten minute file
n2=secs*wavfs;
y=wavread(wavin,[n1 n2]);

so then I have been trying to use the PSD function on 'y'.

The signal processing tool has allowed me to plot a PSD of the wav file straight up, but I want to do it through the command prompt as I would like to combine some other plots on there etc

Any help would be fantastic, thanks
