Rhombic dodeca hed. is made of 2 cube vol. or 6 reg. tet. vol. Let's see if this is true at this scale.
Now here are tetra. blocks that are vol. identical and 6 of these blocks makes a cube, and another six block make a another cube, so we have two cubes, but we don't have enough blocks to build our rhombic dodeca hed.(RDH)at this scale, so we need more cubes andtill we have 16 small cubes and now we have enough blocks to build our rdh.
So in synergetics this takes 144 modules in the "Z" system it takes 96 modules.
Now we know a platonic octahedron is 4 times the size of the reg. tet. so we know our rdh.is 12 : 1 in ratio with the platonic octahedron, but lets see if this is true in synergetics.ah NO!! the ratio of the synergetic octahedron to a rdh.is 1.5 : 1 in ratio.
And this is what really matters when tetra blocks are the unit vol. My modules tels me that the rdh. is 12 times the size of a reg. octahedron yet in synergetics this does not hold true along with sleuths of problems throughout..
