Selection/Crossover/Mutation options for integer-coded GA

Hello,

I would greatly appreciate if someone can provide any help regarding two questions about integer-coded GA:

1) Regarding selection, crossover, mutation options, when I find "Do not use with integer problems"; does it mean I can use only the default option for integer-coded GA?

2) My chromosome has 5 blocks. Each block has 4 integer-coded genes (each gene assumes an integer value between 0 and 24). I need to use multiple crossing points so the crossover swaps the whole block. In other words, the crossover operator cannot "cut" a block because, for each block, the integers on the 4 genes depend on each other. Do you have any suggestion/direction to do that? More specifically, is there a built-in function on matlab for that or I have to code it by myself?
