The Mathematics Department in the College of Science and Health at
the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse invites applications for a
tenure-track assistant professor position in Mathematics Education,
beginning August 2014. The candidate will join five other mathematics
educators in a department of 28. Responsibilities include
teaching mathematics courses for elementary, middle, or secondary
education minors and majors including the elementary and/or secondary
mathematics methods courses (offered each semester), or other general
education and mainstream mathematics courses. The candidate will also
be expected to contribute to the further development of the
department's mathematics education programs; become actively engaged
with K-12 schools, professional organizations, or other education
related endeavors at the local, state, or national level; maintain a
productive program of research; contribute to departmental, college,
School of Education, and other university service activities.
