The School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences at Berry College invites applications for a three-year postdoctoral position in Mathematics Education.
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in mathematics education or related field with evidence of coursework in mathematics education. At least three years of experience teaching mathematics in P-12 schools is required. The position supports programs of mathematics teacher education at the baccalaureate and master's degree levels. The applicant must have a background appropriate to teach a variety of mathematics content and methods courses. Teaching efforts will be supported by faculty members who embrace active learning pedagogies. Collaboration opportunities exist, and are encouraged, with on-campus P-8 laboratory schools, the School of Education faculty, already-established local school partnerships, and the national STEM initiative Sally Ride Science program.
The development of a research program is expected, and involvement of undergraduates is encouraged.
