Hello -

Just a short note to mention that I will begin sending today four
postings [I, II, III, IV] that deal with choice/CHOICE in educational
change, reform/deform in educational change, change in urban/rural
areas, support/non-support and sanity/insanity of the Common Core
State Standards and written interaction between Bill McCallum and
Michael Paul Goldenberg regarding the Common Core.

These postings come from @ THE CHALK FACE [Educated educators talking
education -- see ]

A number of websites concerned with the Common Core are given in the postings.

All good wishes.

About @TCF

Starting small in the very early days of 2010, At the Chalk Face has
expanded to include a host of new authors/commentators, a broad
social media presence, and, most importantly, a weekly radio show on
Blog Talk Radio. We endeavor to establish an alternative space to
discuss education reform from an entirely progressive perspective.
But more importantly, we are all educators, so we know what we're
talking about.

No one receives any money for what is written or said here. So, what
we write and say derives from our passions and extensive classroom
experiences. We are on the sides of teachers, their professional and
labor organizations, students, parents, and community members. There
is no corporate agenda or market-ideologies.

Consider yourself warned. You're At the Chalk Face.
