As we all know from the Mathworks website, GPU acceleration is only supported on NVIDIA/CUDA configurations, not AMD. As we know from the Apple website, the new mac pro will have two very powerful AMD FirePro GPUs.
Questions:
1)is Matlab planning to support AMD FirePro GPU computation by next year?
2)is acceleration of numerical computations using a third-party product (eg Jacket?) a sensible way to go?
3)are there other compatibility issues that the new mac pro will raise with Matlab?
