Sharing Successful STEM Educator Initiatives

A FREE e-Posium Series sponsored by STEM TIPS

Goal for e-Posium:

Our goal is to provide an online platform for
sharing exemplary practices and facilitating
discussions regarding innovative strategies,
projects, or programs in mathematics and science
teacher education.

Participate in one, two, or all three sessions of
our three-session e-podium Series. The first
session features a guest speaker and the next two
sessions could include you!

Participate in one, two, or all three sessions of
our three-session e-Posium Series:

Session 1 - Tuesday, October 29th at 3:00-4:00 pm, ET

Horizon Perspective of STEM Teacher Education

Guest Speaker: Dr. Nicole Gillespie of the Knowles Science Teaching Foundation

Dr. Nicole Gillespie of the Knowles Science
Teaching Foundation will present a 45-minute
online session that will provide participants
with a horizon perspective of STEM teacher
preparation. After her presentation, Dr.
Gillespie will host a 15-minute Q & A session
with participants.

Submit an e-poster to share an innovative
strategy, project, or program related to STEM
teacher education, induction, professional
development. Posters will be shared through a
virtual gallery walk.

Session 3 - Thursday, December 5, 2013

Roundtable Discussion: Implications for Teacher
Preparation and Professional Development
A roundtable discussion will conclude the
e-podium series with participant reactions to
the e-posters and implications for the future of
quality STEM teacher education and professional
development.
