Lambda as a Symbol for Reflection

In module 1 for Geometry the upper case Greek letter lambda is used as a symbol for reflections (Lesson 14 and Lesson 20). Has anyone seen this notation used before for reflections?

Does anyone know if this notation will be used on Common Core Exams?
