EERA and the University of Porto, Portugal,
invite Educational Researchers to submit
proposals for the European Conference on
Educational Research 2014. ECER, the annual
conference held by the European Educational
Research Association (EERA), welcomes 2.500
scholars each year, representing views and
research traditions from all parts of Europe.
The ECER is preceded by EERAs Emerging Researchers Conference.

EERA is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2014.
This event offers an excellent opportunity to
look back on the development and impact of
educational research in Europe - as well as
looking forward to its future. The EERA/ECER
conference in Porto 2014 provides a time and
space for the educational research community to
be self-reflexive - to evaluate its strengths,
weaknesses and possibilities.

In choosing to hold ECER 2014 at the University
of Porto, EERA has acquired a very prestigious
partner. The University of Porto is the
Portuguese institution with the best scores in
the majority of the international rankings for
higher education and scientific research and has
been voted one of the best 350 universities in
the world.

Porto itself is famous for its historical Centre,
the richness of its gastronomy, the hospitality
of its people and, obviously, by the world famous
port wine. Full of green areas and sports venues,
with a revitalized public transport network and a
rich culture and nightlife Porto is a city which
opens its arms to visitors.
