I agree completely with Alg 1, Geo, A2T in the old curriculum. However, the CC Algebra 1 course requires unbelievable maturity with all of the modeling that is expected. That's why we feel a 2 year preparation will be more appropriate. We will pick and choose topics from algebra 2 to supplement, but the sophistication expected in the modules and in the albeit limited practice Regents questions from algebra 1 seem to be daunting to teach to ninth graders in one year.
