Up until a week or two ago I had no problem starting Matlab. Now, however,
when ever I try to start, either of two things happen.

1) The logo page appears, then the Command window opens and immediately
disappears or

2) The Command window appears the logo page remains and a window appears
stating that the program has commited an illegal act and will be shut down,
from windows 98 I suppose. Thinking that some file had become corrupted, I
uninstalled Matlab and reinstalled it. There problem continues.

Has anyone experienced this, and if so, how were you able to correct the. Or
am I stuck?

TIA
