Fill space between two surfaces with a single colour

Dear Matlab users:

I have two matrices with 3 columns representing x, y and z coordinates.

They can be seen as surfaces on a plot by using:

tri = delaunay(x,y);
h = trisurf(tri, x, y, z);

For each of them. All z values of one of the surfaces are higher than the other, so that the surfaces do not intersect each other.

Now I want to fill the space between them with one single colour. The goal is to make it appears like a layer with irregular top and bottom "topography" given by z coordinates.

Any hints would be appreciated.
