I tried out my new over/under shotgun at the trap range yesterday. I shot the first round of 25 with the bottom barrel, which has a modified choke that allows more spread of the pellets, and got 16. The second round used the top barrel with an improved cylinder choke which keeps the pellets more compact; this time I got 14.

I was trying to think of some test to determine if the difference in the results are statistically significant. Maybe the binomial distribution would fit in here somehow; calculate the odds of getting 16 or better with the probability of success being 14/25. Or a chi-square, matching hits and misses against barrel used.

Any ideas will be appreciated.
