Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer. I am writing to let you know that there are still a few spaces left in two summer professional development opportunities for teachers and teacher leaders that I will be offering in the Washington DC area (reasonable housing is available for out-of-towners):

(1) Bringing the Common Core to Life in Mathematics, Pre-K-5: Planting the Seeds of Deep Mathematical Thinking. August 12 & 13, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and

(2) Bringing the Common Core to Life in Mathematics, Grade 6-8: Planting the Seeds of Deep Algebraic Thinking. August 14 & 15, 2014, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

For detailed information about the two 2-day sessions, please visit http://www.sssas.org/cpl and click on "Read More" under your course of interest. You will also find information on cost, housing, and registration process. Please note the reduced cost in tuition for three or more educators from a same institution.

Thank you for sharing information on these PD opportunities with your colleagues,
