Sent at the request of Bill Barton.
Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce three opportunities for Mathematics
Educators to join the Mathematics Education Unit in the Department of
Mathematics at The University of Auckland in New Zealand.

Members of the Mathematics Education Unit teach undergraduate
mathematics and graduate Masters programmes in mathematics education.
They are not involved in pre-service teacher education at either
primary or secondary level.

1. Associate Professor/Full Professor in Mathematics Education.
This position is now advertised, applications close of 1st October,
2014. Please see:
This is a leadership position.

2. We expect to advertise for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer by the end
of the year. This position may be able to be associated with the
professorship above.

3. We wish to employ a "teaching post-doc" for some or all of
2015--to start as soon as possible after 1st January. This person
would teach undergraduate mathematics, but undertake mathematics
education research at senior secondary or undergraduate level. It
would suit someone who was also interested in the Lectureship
position, and would be an opportunity to "try-out" living in New
Zealand. If interested please contact Bill or Mike (see below) as
soon as possible.
