Suppose xi is an i.i.d. random variable (x could indicate education
level and i icould indicate an individual from the population). Suppose
yi is another i.i.d. random variable (y could be monthly labor income
and i could indicate an individual from the population). The product of
two i.i.d random variables, xi*yi, is i.i.d. Does this mean that xi and
yi are not correlated?
