This week, we finished back-filling our video series of five minute-long talks by math education leaders at conferences of NCTM, NCSM, and the California Mathematics Council (CMC). Tune in to re-live the memories and find new inspirations, now all conveniently organized into playlists on our YouTube channel.
Since 2010, the Math Forum has convened colleagues to "talk about whatever lights them up." As each person spoke, their 20 PowerPoint slides auto-advanced every 15 seconds ... ready or not! These "Ignite" talks -- often funny, sometimes poignant, and definitely breathless -- quickly became requisite conference experiences.
