Information from the RUME listserve / Caroline Yoon.
See attachment regarding a job advertisement with some notable points
of difference:

1) There are TWO academic positions in Mathematics Education

2) The positions are in Auckland, New Zealand (in the Department of
Mathematics at the University of Auckland)

3) We provide generous support for research through:

* Time for research (our teaching loads are extremely low at only 2
courses each year)
* Financial support for international travel and visitors (because
hey, we're in NZ, so our university invests heavily in our
international travel and collaborations)
* An enviable sabbatical system (6 months sabbatical on full pay
every 3 years, or 12 months every 6 years with an additional
$9,000-$15,000 travel allowance).

4) Teaching is highly valued... and because our teaching loads are so
low, we have plenty of time for high quality, innovative teaching in
mathematics and mathematics education.

Sound too good to be true? Apply and find out for yourself!

The application process is very simple. Just submit online by November 1:

* A cover letter
* CV
* Names and details of 3 people willing to write letters of reference.

No complicated research statement or teaching philosophy required.

Best wishes,

Associate Professor Caroline Yoon
