Hi, I'm Debbie Porter I have fun working with the students on understanding patterns. Working with them and having them attact problems and be successful was a wonderful experience for both of us.
As a new teacher I am interested in getting ideas how to have my students understand word problems. I teach 6th and 7th grades. This past school year I had a difficult time working with my students preparing them for the SAT9. The most difficult section of the test I feel was the open ended questions where the students had to explain how they arrived at their answer. This year I want to put particular energy into this area so that my students will be more successful.
