Hello, I am Betty Miller, living in San Diego, California. I have been
teaching for over 25 years in the areas of Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Thoughout my experience I feel I have done it all and I am still learning
along with my students. Several years ago I left the classroom to becoming
a Music Prep Time teacher, then I returned to the classroom to primary
grades and I am currently working with first graders. I have been a
Reading Recovery teacher, and an ELIC facilator with the Rigby corporation.
For hobbies I love to read, tell jokes, and I am an amature ventriloquist.
I have been married for 29 years, and have two daughters in college, both
wanting to be teachers, however NOT in the elementary field. One will go
into secondary and the other wants to teach at the Junior College level.
The current school is Encanto with a great staff, and one of my colleagues
is sitting beside me. My professional goals are to become more literate
with computer technology and finish up a master's program during the
summers, then travel the world.
