Hi -
I've been enjoying reading your introductions. Sounds like you've made an excellent start.
Suzanne Alejandre, a participant in the Math Forum's 1995 and 1996 workshops and currently a Forum Teacher Associate who teaches math and is the technology person at Frisbie Middle School in Rialto, has a page that's part of a series of resources for teaching middle school math and which can be useful for other California math teachers:
http://www.rialto.k12.ca.us/school/frisbie/math8.html
On the left under Curriculum Links there are some useful links to Standards. One leads to The State of California Academic Standards Commission:
http://www.ca.gov/goldstandards/Drafts/currentdraft.html
and another to the most important strands from the California Mathematics Framework, a page Suzanne created for the SCORE site where she's giving workshops this summer:
http://www.kings.k12.ca.us/math/lessons/strands.html
Suzanne is on vacation and without her computer for a while - she may check in with you sometime next week.
