Sorry if this has already been mentioned.

Scott Smith published an article, "Drilling Square Holes," in the Oct 1993
_Mathematics Teacher_ (pp. 579-583). It's a good discussion of Reuleaux
triangle including references, illustrations, and an honest discussion of
his classroom experience teaching this topic.
