Yes, we try to see the uses of Geometry as a regular part of each exploration. Today we worked with perpendiculars to planes. Right away students were dealing with setting up a net for beach volleyball. They used books on desks to describe the problems. Best use I have seen for the old text book. Have a nice weekend.
